British Birds

9 January 2013

The aim of this session was to introduce the young people (aged 6-8) to a variety of birds living in the local environment and to think about why there are such variations in their size and shape. The children then made a model of a bird, using different environmental factors, such as food source and habitat, to influence their designs (ie beak shape, leg length etc). The session finished with a wildlife quiz.
