Ropax was founded in 2009 to provide IRATA rope access solutions to clients in all industry sectors, but with a core competence in inspection, testing and high level maintenance activities.
The company’s capability was extended in 2012 with the introduction of our non-destructive testing services. This was initially targeted at the in-service oil/gas inspection markets, but has become increasingly utilised by clients operating in the Defence sector, with Ropax being an approved supplier to BAE Systems (Maritime Submarine).
In January 2014 the company’s inspection capability was bolstered by a strategic partnership with Scenic Acoustic. This partnership has allowed Ropax to deliver vibration, acoustics and condition monitoring services to the Power Generation and Energy sectors.
Most recently (March 2014) Ropax became part of SN-Group, joining their technical services division. This merger provides industry with a multi-disciplined contractor capable of providing total lifecycle services regardless of the location - subsea, ground level, or at height.
Ropax continues to be a socially responsible organisation. Over the last two years, the company has worked closely with Cumbria Wildlife Trust, developing and delivering a Watch Group programme for young children in the company’s home town of Barrow in Furness.
